So you should focus on breading and hatch the right monster to bread legendary. And the goal of most people is getting powerful legendary monster. This is not take you so long to build and bread. Upgrade habitats to high level so you can place 3 or 4 pandaken in each. My strategy is building lots of nature habitats.
